Installation at Roy Hill

MCCONNELL DOWELL is currently delivering the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for the Stanley Point Iron ore Terminal at Port Hedland, in the Pilbara region of western Australia, as part of the project awarded by Roy Hill Holdings to Samsung C&T. The project consists of a two berth iron ore load out wharf connected with an approximately 3.6km long elevated overland conveyor to the ore stockyard. In addition to the wharf and the overland conveyor, the scope of work also includes an abutment, a drive station, three transfer stations, and all structural, mechanical & piping (SMP) and electrical & instrumentation (E&I)works. on completion of the project, Mcconnell Dowell will have built 10 out of the 14 iron ore load out wharves in Port Hedland.

AVENG is pleased to announce that McConnell Dowell has achieved another important milestone. The final marine pile was installed at the Roy Hill project this week, marking the completion of all 273 Marine wharf Piles. Congratulations to everyone who contributed to this significant point in the project. The team now looks forward to the arrival of the Heavy lift Vessel.
