University of Fort Hare

The University of Fort Hare, Southern Africa's oldest historically black university, has among its alumni Nelson Mandela, Oliver Tambo and Chris Hani. Recently, the university has focused on developing its East London campus. The new teaching complex had sustainability built into its design concept, offering students in sustainability, engineering and other disciplines an environment where they can learn through the building itself.
