·         ISO 9001: 2008 Quality Management Systems

• DSE has again achieved the quality management standards as set out by the SABS.
• DSE first achieved this recognition in 1986 and was the 47th group in South Africa to achieve this certification and has continuously maintained this standard. This certificate was awarded in January 2010.

·         ISO 3834 Part 3  Quality of management in welding

• DSE was awarded this certificate by the International Institute of Welding which has assessed and awarded DSE workshops with this certificate.
• Not too many South African fabricators have achieved this certificate, it is becoming a certification to strive for as clients will soon be insisting that fabricators have the ISO 3834 Part 3 certification, as this ensures that quality welding is built into the job.

Another winner for Berg!! At a gala dinner at the Champagne Sports Resort on Saturday, we felt very privileged to be granted the 2009 Fulton Award for Civil Engineering Project in a very strong field of 27 excellent projects (some of which fell into other categories eg Buildings, Architecture, Unique Design, Construction Techniques, and Concrete Repairs). It was truly a showcase of concrete excellence in SA.
